About Speak2Me

Built by one person who needed it to exist.

I'm Chris Dabatos. Developer advocate, self-taught engineer, and the only person behind Speak2Me.

I built this because I was tired of AI that forgets you exist between conversations. I'd tell an AI my wife's name, my daughter's birthday, my goals, real personal stuff, and the next session it had no idea who I was. The whole promise of AI that "knows you" was broken.

So I built something that actually works. A memory system that tracks your story over time and never loses the important stuff. Voice-first, because talking is how most people actually think.

Then I needed to learn my own system well enough to explain it on stage at a conference. Reading my own docs wasn't cutting it. I needed to explain things out loud, get quizzed, get corrected, try again. That tool didn't exist either. So I built study mode.

Now it's both. A journal companion that remembers your life. A study partner that teaches you through voice and won't let you fake understanding.

Where this is going

I use Speak2Me every day, and so do a handful of early users. The goal is to make it the app people open when they want to think out loud, process their day, or learn something new. All through voice, all remembered.

If you want to follow the journey, I write about building Speak2Me on my blog and post developer content on YouTube.
